Hi I'm Daniel

I am a husband, a father, and a little bit of a nerd. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love all sports, but especially soccer and have come to love surfing in the past 2 years while living in southern California. I have a little daughter whose smile brightens my day and a caring, supportive, and beautiful wife who inspires me to be better. I recently graduated from medical school and am in training to be an ophthalmologist (eye surgeon).

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I read the Book of Mormon for the first time as a young boy and prayed to know if it was true, and received a calm assurance that, even at that age, I knew was from God. As I've gotten older, I have at times questioned and doubted that simple faith of my childhood. But each time I read the Book of Mormon, I feel its witness of Christ and feel my faith strengthened. I know that anyone can receive that same witness from God that the Book of Mormon is scripture by sincerely reading it and asking God if it is His word. This knowledge has strengthened my faith in God, has helped me to know my Savior, and is the foundation by which I know Joseph Smith restored Christ's true Church as He originally intended it. As I live the principles taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, my life is enriched and full and I am happy.

How I live my faith

At church, I currently teach a "teacher improvement" course in the Sunday School. But for me, living my faith goes beyond what happens on Sunday. I try to live my faith by being the best person I can on a daily basis. I don't always succeed, but I try to be someone that reflects the light Christ has brought my life.
