Hi I'm Lisa

I grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah. I'm going to school to become a high school health teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 22 year old college student. I am graduating soon with a degree in health education. I can't wait to share my passion for maintaining a healthy lifestyle with high school students. During the summers I teach swimming lessons. In my spare time I love to read, swim, watch movies, and spend time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life. I grew up going to church every week and participating in all the activities offered within the church. When I was young, I did these things because it made my parents happy. As I got a little older, I started making decisions that did not align with the teachings of the church. I noticed that as I distanced myself further and further from the path my religion had set for me, I progressively became more unhappy, more lost and more confused. I decided to explore the gospel on my own in order to decide for myself whether it was true or not. I began reading The Book of Mormon and striving to live the teachings within it. I changed my behavior and started trying my best to live all of the standards of The LDS Church. As I did these things, I noticed that life became much easier and I started feeling much happier. As I finished The Book of Mormon, I prayed and asked God if it was true. I received the warmest, most peaceful, happy feeling in my heart and I knew without a doubt that everything I had just read was completely true. Since then, I have continued reading from The Book of Mormon every single day and it has continued to bless my life. I know with all my heart that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know that God is all powerful, all knowing, and everywhere all at once through His spirit. He is also the literal father of our spirits. He loves each one of us personally and perfectly. I know for sure that He hears our prayers and that He answers us. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, lives. I know that he suffered for our sins and died for us that we may live again in the presence of our Heavenly Father. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he restored Christ's church to the earth. I know that Thomas S. Monson is also a true prophet of God. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I am currently in a college singles ward and I do not yet have a calling. On Sundays I love to come to church and feel the peaceful spirit that is there while I participate in sacrament meeting and listen to the talks and lessons that other members of my ward have prepared.
