Hi I'm Marcie Wasden

I am a wife, and mother to 6 children. I have recently become a grandma to a sweet little boy. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have my degree in education and had the opportunity to teach before my children were born. I loved everything about teaching, and looked forward to going to work each day. I worked until my first child was born and since then have been teaching my own children. I love being a mom to my 6 children. It is both challenging and rewarding. I learn so much from each of them and consider it a great blessing to be a full-time mom, and now a grandma. The gospel of Jesus Christ and a good sense of humor has been essential in raising my children. I have received guidance and answers to prayers that have aided me in my role as a mother. When I was a young mother, their were times when it was hard to understand the far reaching effects and full impact of motherhood. Many days felt like "Groundhog Day." :) Now, I am a little older and hopefully a little wiser and I understand more fully the privilege and power of motherhood. I understand better the sacred nature and responsibility of my role. Here is a quote by President Harold B. Lee. Motherhood is near to divinity. It is the highest, holiest service to be assumed by mankind. It places her who honors its holy calling and service next to the angels.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS home, and grew up leaning on the testimony of my mother. I had felt the spirit on many occasions, but had not gained a testimony of my own. My first year away at college, I determined to gain my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true. I received a sure witness that day, and that witness remains clear to me to this day. I know that this church is true and that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are the word of God. The gospel of Jesus Christ has given me both joy and peace. I know my Father in Heaven loves me as he loves each one of us.

How I live my faith

I teach a class of 9 year olds the principles of the gospel. Preparing to teach them them each week has helped me to live my faith by studying the scriptures and pondering the truths therein. Seeing them come to know and understand that they are children of God is very rewarding for me.
