Hi I'm Hallie

I'm just a normal American girl. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love the outdoors. I love to ski, snowboard, run, hike, backpack, camp, anything with nature. It's my way of understanding that God loves me. I am a student, with the hopes of someday becoming a Dental Hygienist. I love to eat good food, with good people. I laugh loud, and at practically everything. I want to see the world. I love to travel, and look forward to meeting special people around this beautiful world :)

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in this church. From a young age I have been taught and guided. My intermediate, and extended family members have all remained faithful to this church. But that is not the reason I am Mormon. I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon, and simply asked God specifically if that book is true. I am a Mormon because I have received answers to prayers that it is true. These answers are not big moments, revelations, or miracles. The answers that I have gotten confirming that the Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today are answers filled with quiet peace, and sacred stillness. Yet they are so undeniably powerful that I could never deny that I have received them as direct answers to my prayers.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is more about the simple things than the larger ones. When I help someone carry groceries, give advice to an old friend, or listen and care about someone's cries, it's in those moments that I am living my faith. In those moments, I feel closer to Jesus Christ because I am doing his works. One thing I have figured out is that this life is all about other people, not myself.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Hallie
A testimony is a collection of experiences, and beliefs that come from God. These things testify of truth, and are confirmed by the Holy Ghost through feelings within you. A testimony should be founded in Jesus Christ. That he is the Savior of the world, that he atoned for our sins, and that through him we can be saved. Show more Show less
