Hi I'm John Goodman

I'm married, a sound engineer, and I love finding new music to listen to.

About Me

Though my college degree is in sound recording technology, my interests in the music industry also include writing, producing, and performing. My wife and I are expecting our first child, and we couldn't be more excited.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS home and have learned to embrace the teachings of the church in my own independent life. I served a mission for the LDS church in Germany, teaching interested individuals and families for two years of my life. Through both unique and everyday experiences, I have come to know that the lifestyle preached by Jesus Christ in the scriptures, as well as through revelation from His prophets, is a very rewarding and fulfilling gospel. More important than that observation, for me, though, is that I regularly pray and have a real relationship with my Heavenly Father. It's through this relationship that I know that the principles taught in this church come from an all-knowing God, who loves us and wants us to grow and be happy. I'm very grateful for the scriptures. The Book of Mormon and the Bible have real life application and help us come closer to God. There is great comfort in knowing that God has a plan for us and our families, and having that plan described to us through the scriptures has helped me throughout my life.

How I live my faith

My wife and I try to attend church every week, and we do pretty well at it. I also meet up about once a month with another brother from church to visit a couple families in their homes, where we share a message and make sure they're doing well.
