Hi I'm Sammi

I'm a musician, I'm a performer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have just recently graduated from high school. I'll be going to college soon to major in Music Education. I love to sing, play the violin, watch musicals, and make others laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, so I've always been very familiar with it. However, I've had one of those situations where I only recently realized that I can't just live off of my parents' testimonies and that I'd have to build my own. I couldn't just walk around being a member of a church that I wasn't quite sure was even true. So, I started to read my scriptures and actively participate in church and seminary. I realized that the more effort I put into knowing the truth, the stronger my testimony became. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins, and that he knows every single thing that I am going through. I know that He and my Heavenly Father love me. I know that no one is EVER given a trial that they aren't meant to overcome. I know that our lives and situations are perfectly tailored to us to help us to eventually become perfect and return to our Heavenly Father. I know that what we receive from God and in the next life aren't based on what happens to us - they are based on how we react to what happens to us. I know that Joseph Smith was (and IS) a true prophet and that he brought the restored gospel to the world today. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true and current prophet and that he is here to give us direct revelation from God. I know that charity is the pure love of Christ. I know that the Plan of Happiness is true and that, with it, I am able to return to my Heavenly Father and live with my family forever. I am so grateful for everything that I have learned, and that I continue to gain knowledge of every day.

How I live my faith

I am active in the church and Institute, both of which I love with all my heart. Every day when I wake up, it is my goal to see what I can do to serve others and have someone feel the love of Christ in their life. I believe that it is important to be accepting and loving to everyone, no matter what their beliefs or situations might be. I enjoy doing activities that bring me closer to my Heavenly Father and help me to feel the Spirit. I try every day, at school, in my family, and in my church calling, to be an example of what I believe, so that no one will ever question what my values and standards are.
