Hi I'm Isabella

Hello! Talofa! Aloha! and Hola! I live in the Bay Area, CA. I've been called to serve in the New Mexico. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up mostly in California, both northern and southern, but I still love the rainy, evergreen Puget Sound. Now I live in the Bay area and plan to serve a fulltime mission in Alburquerque New Mexico this fall. I graduated high school early and attended BYUH these past two years. I love water sports and photography; capturing all of Heavenly Father's beautiful creations.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up a member my whole life, going to church, getting baptized and living the standards. Loving the gospel and the people of the church, I never realized the extent of living and thinking as Jesus did until; Asking who I was and who I was to become, suddenly became a very real question and I was searching for the answer - but I already knew it! I knew I was a daughter of God, who loves me and wants me to return to live with him again and receive the joy of eternal life. I had never really applied the gospel completely in my life, and it seemed like I was seeking some great inspiration that would reveal the truth to me. Then I realized I already knew this too; the knowledge that God lived and loved me was as simple as knowing the equation 2+2=4. It wasn't a breakthrough or a phenomenon, it was the truth, and nothing else added up except that. Applying the gospel to every part of my life has given me great blessings and something that I want others to know too! Believing that Joseph Smith restored the gospel, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, the we have modern prophets and apostles, that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, that families are the most important social unit, that prayer is how we communicate with God, that we can hope and love and enjoy to the end; I believe because its true. There are no words to effectively describe the comfort of the spirit, but peace, happiness, love and joy is the purpose of the plan of salvation. And oh how we long to have those! As a young woman, and a youth, I have the responsibility to stand as a witness in all times, in all things and all places and to make the best of the ever loving, ever lasting Atonement, that I have access to through my Savior Jesus Christ. There is nothing we can't do, as God has made it his work and his glory, to inherit all that he hath. Joy and happiness are ours for the eternities! This is why I'm a Mormon; because I talk of Christ and rejoice in Christ and preach of Christ.

How I live my faith

I have held various callings within the church, and though that is one way we can live our faith there are many others outside of church. Reading the scriptures, praying and attending seminary are daily acts of living the gospel. We may stand out because of our appearance in dressing modestly or not using vulgar language, but that is how we live the standards that we believe in. The best thing we can do is to follow the commandments and keep ourselves worthy to partake of the sacrament each week. Personally, I love service projects because they help lift others spiritually as well as myself and invite others to attend!
