Hi I'm Brandon Beard

I grew up in Texas. I'm in to archery, gaming, music, hiking, programming and running. I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up around computers, and gained an appreciation for the work and talent that goes in to making them work. When I was 18, I took introductory programming courses and really enjoyed it. Only recently have I gained a similar appreciation for other aspects of life, and took up archery, running, drawing, dancing, architecture, music arrangement, and look forward to seeing more of what the world has to offer.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel like the LDS church has the best organization of hierarchy, and distribution of responsibility and leadership. I also believe it has the most satisfactory answers to life's questions, compared to those of other faiths. Anyone can gain a sense of spirituality, but being part of the Mormon lifestyle definitely allows for it to be a part of everyday activities.

How I live my faith

I'll be serving a full-time mission for the LDS church from February 2013 to 2015 in the Los Angeles area. In preparation for that, I overlooked some of the missionary efforts in my University ward by helping the Elders arrange baptisms, organize their contacts, and even go teaching with them. I spend time with other members of my University ward in social events, from ultimate frisbee, to soccer, to dancing.
