Hi I'm Lisa

I'm German but grew up in NYC. I love learning and traveling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of four children, and love to help take care of my younger siblings (the youngest is five and he's quit the goof-ball!) I love my family so much! I am also a health-nut, and love experimenting with cooking healthy recipes, and then trying to get people to eat them! I love nature, and exploring new places. My family is from Germany, but moved to NYC when I was a baby, where I grew up being fluent in both German and English. I've grown up in the U.S. but have been back to Germany so many times that I feel like I definitely have a foot in both cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

Some years ago, I decided I wanted to build a strong relationship to my Heavenly Father. This has been the best decision I have ever made, and continue to make. Through the Spirit, I can feel God's love for me each and every day, and through prayer, I can talk to my Heavenly Father about anything, anytime, and anywhere. The best way to live is to live for the day when I will be with my family and loved ones together forever. That knowledge allows me to overcome life's stresses. I definitely am human and am not immune to life's hardships, but I also know where to turn for true peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by befriending people and letting them know they belong and are loved. Relationships between people are important, and extend the boundaries of this world. I really enjoy planning activities and events; the uplifting kind that give people the opportunity to build stronger relationships with each other as well.
