Hi I'm Ali

I grew up in Utah. I played volleyball for my local high school and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just a 20 year old girl who loves playing volleyball, aspires to be a videographer, and wants to travel the world. I recently traveled to Belize for 3 months and worked in orphanages there. I absolutely love to travel and hope to travel much more as I continue to grow older. I have 3 siblings and 2 wonderful parents. We enjoy laughing and watching "The Biggest Loser" together. We live a fairly normal life and guess what? We're Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family who was active in the church. We went to our meetings every Sunday and actively attended activities and service projects as well. When I was 8 years old I was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I will admit that at the time I didn't fully understand every single detail about the church. But that's okay! Its all about continuing your learning in this church. As I grew older I began to read the Book of Mormon for myself. I attended classes that explained the book and let me determine for myself whether I thought it was true or not. I bare my testimony to you that this church is true. I have felt the Spirit many many times. Too many times to deny. Its not just something I do on Sunday. The gospel, or the church, is a way of life for me. It impacts every decision I make. Because of the church I have made the decision not to obtain alcohol or drugs. I have also decided to stay sexually pure until marriage. I prayed for help and guidance in deciding which college to attend, what subject to study and whether I should serve a mission. Prayer is such a powerful thing. God wants to speak to us! We just have to talk to Him first. He will answer your prayers. Pray to Him with any concern you have. He has always been there and always will be. He loves you. So, why am I a Mormon? Because it makes me truly happy. I am a better person when I am living the standards of the gospel. I know it to be true because I have studied and learned for myself. You don't have to believe it, but I promise if you read the Book of Mormon and pray with a sincere heart, you too will be touched by its truthfulness.

How I live my faith

I was recently released as a teacher to some of the women of the church. I taught lessons about faith, love, service, and much much more. I am now preparing to serve a full-time mission. I have been called to teach the people of Bahia Blanca Argentina. I can't wait to share the knowledge that I have with the people there. This church has made me such a happy person and I know that it can influence others lives positively as well.
