Hi I'm Emily

I love to be outdoors. I love to have fun. I love being a mormon.

About Me

I was born in into a family who lives and loves this gospel. I am so greatful for the way I have been brought up. My mom was the pioneer into the church on her side of the family. My dad is a fifth generation latter-day saint. I am the second oldest of four girls. I love to be outdoors and do anything adventureous. I love to laugh and have a good time. I love being a mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother is a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, so growing up I have always seen two sides of a story. Even though I was born into a family who already had the gospel doesnt mean I had it easy. Every teenager gets to a point when they don't want to do what their parents tell them to. When I reached this point I was 15. I didn't want to go to church anymore, I didn't want to read my scriptures or pray, so I didn't. I hadn't realized how much my life had changed from making the choice to stop doing these simple things. My bishop called me into his office to ask me if I would sing in the young womens general conference choir. I said yes just becuase he was my bishop. Every week at the beginning of practice we would say the young womens theme. This one particular practice Sister Webb, the conductor, asked us to say it again but slower and to stand as we said it. I thought it wouldn't make a difference if we just said it slower, its the same words we said every week. I did it anyway. In the first line it says, "We are daughters of our Heavenly Father who loves us." After I said that line I could not physically speak and I just burst into tears. I realized in that moment that my Father in Heaven loves me. I know he will always love me. I am so greatful for this gospel and for all it has given me. I know it is the true church that Christ himself established on the earth. I Know it. I Live it. and I LOVE IT!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing what I know. I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am serving my Heavenly Father in the England Manchester Mission.
