Hi I'm Dave

I grew up in Sandy, UT, the youngest of 8 kids. I love playing the piano and organ. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like doing a lot of things. I love surfing even though I've only been once. I love playing the piano and organ and sometimes I sit for hours and make up my own music. I have even composed around 30 of my own pieces and love to improvise on other music. I do my best to stay healthy and in shape. To do that I work out regularly, run, eat a ridiculously healthy diet, and occasionally do kick-boxing. I'm a college student right now pursuing a degree in accounting. I love to work hard and have fun. I am currently single but doing plenty of dating. I used to teach piano lessons but I dropped my studio to finish school.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon helps me remember what the Savior would do and to live my life like He would want. I only have a short time left on this earth before I will be where everyone else who has ever lived has also gone. And when I get there, I want to be able to say that I did my best, I changed others lives for good, I was there for my friends when they needed me, and that I did my best to help others every day. Living the gospel has not always been easy. It has actually been very difficult at times. I have been lonely, depressed, and have wondered sometimes if life was worth living anymore because things were so difficult. But the sun has always risen again the next morning. Things have worked out. And as I've allowed others to help me, I have been able to help them.

How I live my faith

I love playing the piano at care centers and doing general service at care centers. One of my favorites is going to a rehabilitation facility every Tuesday with donuts for the residents. It gives my an incredible opportunity to talk to them and learn more about their lives and hopefully brighten their day. I think they unknowingly do more to brighten my day than I do theirs. I also play the piano for our church choir and it's way fun. Lots of laughing. Lots of singing. And lots of joking around.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Christ said in the New Testament that we are to be baptized. But, some never got the chance. That's why we perform the baptisms in their behalf. They cannot complete their path to return to live with God until that has been done in their behalf. Show more Show less
