Hi I'm Courtney

I teach piano. I'm in my second year of University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 3 brothers, one is older and two are younger. I feel very close to all of them. I am taking a break from my second year of university to serve a mission. I can solve Rubik's cube and can play the nose flute. I also have taught piano, and tutored high school students in math and biology. I have worked as an industrial insulator and a Tae kwon do instructor, stocking shelves and waiting tables. I like to learn new things and meet new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I love Jesus Christ. I have made some mistakes in my life; through His atonement, I feel clean and I feel free. The more deeply I study this gospel the more correct it appears to me. I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I have felt it but I have also come to an understanding of its truthfulness through frequent study and prayer. My life feels fuller with the knowledge of Jesus' love for me and with the Book of Mormon in hand to prove that truth. The Book of Mormon is exceptional. I cannot read it without feeling enlightened and edified. It speaks and rejoices in the Christ. I am a Mormon because I love to be in a church that has the promise of receiving inspiration and revelation. I have felt the Holy Ghost speak to my soul and point out inspiration through His gentle and evasive means of communication. I know Thomas S. Monson is our prophet that has been called by God on this earth today. I love this gospel; because of that, I can proudly declare that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I participate in our Monday night young adult activities group. I enjoy being able to collaborate with members of my group's testimonies of Jesus Christ. I also live my faith by proving to myself and the Lord that I am an avid follower of the Gospel and of Jesus Christ. I strive to serve my fellowman whenever an opportunity arises. And if no opportunities obviously present themselves, I look for opportunities to serve. I also live my faith by sharing it. This gospel has been such a blessing to me and I want people to know that and to know that they can find answers to life's questions through obedience to its precepts.
