Hi I'm Kyle Anderson

I was hatched and raised in SoCal. But no matter where life takes me, I will always live as an active Mormon!

About Me

My name is Kyle. Born and raised in Southern California, USA. I loved going to the beach and hitting the large waves of Oceanside, loved skateboarding, video games, parties with good friends, and having fun. I graduated college at age 15, studied at MSJC for two years, then transferred to Brigham Young University at age 17. At age 19 I left to serve an LDS mission in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Loved it! I came home at age 21 and within a year married my sweetheart and eternal companion in the San Diego Temple. I later graduated from BYU in Sociology with a Business emphasis, and started my own business. So far, life has been a wonderful adventure full of good times and difficult trials, but God has been there every step of the way.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Good question. After all, I could instead associate myself with one or more of an endless number of other organizations that provide "identity." For example, I could instead be a Catholic, Jehovah's Witness, Jew, Buddhist, Baptist, Methodist, Quaker, Atheist, Mountain Man, Hippie, or a member of a Biker Gang, etc. The list goes on. So why an active Mormon? In my unique case, I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (a.k.a. the "Mormon" church) at birth. Both my parents are active members, although "traditional" converts themselves. I was raised attending this church and learning its core doctrines. However, the time eventually came when I needed to know for myself whether or not the Mormon church was God's one and only true church organization, as it declares to be. I was 17 yrs. old when this moment arrived. I did some serious studying, pondering, repenting, and praying. Long story short, the doctrine, operations, organization, etc of the Mormon church made the most sense to me compared to all the other options out there in the world. It logically meshes best or coincides best with the teachings found in the Bible. The church also fully answers the sincere and crucial questions of my soul regarding who I am, who God is, why I am on Earth, what will happen after death, and what I can do to prepare myself. In addition to logically piecing together the puzzle, I also received divine and heavenly assurance through the Holy Ghost that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is in fact the church that Heavenly Father wants all His children to join, in order to properly progress to the eventual attainment of Eternal Life (a.k.a. Salvation, Heaven, Eternal Family, the Celestial Kingdom, God's home, etc). Nothing brings me more happiness and peace, then the sure hope of having an "Eternal Family," i.e. the gift to live forever with my loved ones, and to enjoy all the Father Hath.

How I live my faith

I try every day to live my faith with all my heart, energy, and soul, primarily through obedience to the commandments associated with my faith, and service to others. I attend church each Sunday, serve in a calling, do home teaching, and constantly look for opportunities to lift up and encourage someone in need. A warm smile and a friendly gesture is often the only thing a stranger needs to have a brighter day :)
