Hi I'm Monica

Lover of all beautiful things. Musician. Poet. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the U.S. and am currently studying Linguistics at Brigham Young University. I love all things music, outdoors, fashion, and anything in between. I love expressing myself through writing or music. I love traveling and meeting people all over the world. I love my family and friends and the way they help me to become the best person I can be. I love reading, cooking, hunting, and trying new things. I feel so blessed to be able to enjoy all things from the buffet that is life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it's where I have found true happiness. In a world full of so many venues to 'have a good time' or to 'enjoy the moment', the only place that I have found true joy was in the knowledge of my Savior, Jesus Christ. He has never let me down, never forsaken me, and His love is eternal. I'm so grateful to know Him and to know His love. It is because of Christ that I can be free, healthy, clean, and happy. I am a Mormon because I believe that families can be forever, because I believe that Christ's church has been restored, and because I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has all the truths that were in Christ's church and I am a Mormon because I am willing to live what I believe.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, not by what I can't do, but what I can do. I'm not bound by the guidelines because I know that living them will only bless my life. When I am obedient, I can do all things through Christ. I try to be an example of Him in everything I do. But when I regularly stumble, I use His forgiveness to start over. I try to remember who I am, as a Daughter of God, and seek that divinity in everyone. I try to share the love of Christ by serving others and by sharing the happiness and truths that I have come to know.
