Hi I'm Chelsea

I'm a military spouse in the middle of motherhood. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I just entered my thirties and I have two sweet children with number 3 on the way. My husband is in the military and we have traded the desert for the beach, the Southwest for the East coast! I keep busy with my friends who have become like family and I love to have girl's time as well as time for exploring my creative side. I love to play around with interior decorating and DIY projects. I have started running and it is so fun to see the improvements in my physical limits as well as my mental limits.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life. I attended church with my family for as long as I can remember. In the beginning it was a habit but I remember the day I knew for myself. I was around 10 years old, and I was listening to a beautiful hymn, sung by a young lady. Her words reached me, it spoke of the suffering of our Savior, how he shed drops of blood for ME- a sinner - and how wonderful it is that he loves me. I was overcome with the spirit and started to weep. I knew that My Heavenly Father loved me very much. I went through my teen years with that foundation. I realized that when I was being a good person I was happy and when I turned away I was unhappy. That principle still rings true for me today. Being obedient to what our Savior has asked us to do makes me happy. It makes me a better wife, a better mother, and a better friend. Being Mormon makes me happy!

How I live my faith

For the past three years I've worked with the youth in my church. I was in charge of the girls ages 12-18. We planned ways for them to learn and develop their talents and skills and also taught them how to pray and build a relationship with God. It was such a wonderful and fun experience! Recently I have started working with the children who are ages 18 months to 3 years old and that has been a change! Now I get to play and sing songs and share simple bible stories with them. Of course I try to fit in a craft or two! It is so neat to see their desire to learn at such a young age.
