Hi I'm Serah Crystal Doraiswamy

I am a Missionary. I Love the Gospel.I Know it,I Love it,I Live it and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Missionary right now serving here in Salt Lake City.part of my mission I had the blessing to also serve in the Florida Tallahassee mission as part of the outbound mission . I served in the Niceville area. I have completed my Bachelors in Computer Application. I have a wonderful family. All of us are members of the church. We were sealed as a family in the year 1995 in the Manila,Philippines temple.I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have to have the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and to have the blessings of the temple as well.I am so glad that I can be with my family forever and can continue the relationship with them. Serving a full time Mission has been the best thing I have ever done.My faith, love and Testimony on my Savior has increased.I have also increased my love for the people I share the Gospel with and have seen how it has helped them in many ways. As Elder Holland mentioned "“Seek to be personally converted, obey the rules of the mission, strive to have the Spirit of the Lord in your life, and work hard. These are things every missionary can do."And these are the things I want to achieve as a missionary and continue to be a missionary forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the Church. My Dad was a Hindu and Mom was a Methodist. But they got to know about the church a year after their marriage.I was really blessed to have been raised as a kid learning the Gospel of Jesus Christ.Although I had the gospel from a young age,I had to know for my self if this is the one for me. I am so glad especially for the message of the Restoration.I believed it before but now I know and Know that it is true.I am so glad for the Book Of Mormon which has helped me gain a better understanding.Sometimes in life you have a lot of people around you but you feel empty. This has happened to me several times and those are the days when I have been away from doing the most important things like reading my Scripture or praying.I know if we want true happiness we need to go unto our Heavenly Father and to the Scriptures.I know that if we "feast upon the words of Christ..the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do." I am a Mormon because this is the way by which I can go back to my Father in Heaven by having the Knowledge of His plan and though my Savior Jesus Christ.Nothing can give me happiness and content than knowing that these things are true.

How I live my faith

Reading the Scriptures has really increased my knowledge and my faith.I have grown to love the Book of Mormon. It is definitely a friend and a guide for me.I also love attending church every week and feel empty if I missed a Sunday.Church attendance and partaking of the Sacrament each week has been such a blessing. It is the time I renew the covenants I made with God and it is a recharge I know will help for the following week. Being a missionary has helped a lot as well.Helping people to come unto Christ has helped me grow closer to Christ as well.the more I give ,the more I receive. The more I invite people to come unto Christ,I have increased my faith and have come closer unto Him. There is no Temple yet in India but it is such a blessing of having a temple in my mission. There I feel the Spirit of God more clearly and get personal revelation.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Serah Crystal Doraiswamy
We believe that families are ordained of God.That families can continue the relationship forever through the blessings of the temple.I am so grateful for the temple in my life and my family and the joy that I can be with them forever. We believe that the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ when practiced in a family will give all the Joy and Happiness any one would desire.Sometimes we fall short and take our families for granted but we should remember and be so thankful that God did not send us alone in this world. We have families as a blessing and should treat them the way God would want us to treat them. God's plan for his family is to return back to him.Preparing our selves as individuals and as families by focusing on the temples and making temple marriage a priority and living and keeping the promises we made with God will help us reach the Goal of Living with our Father in Heaven.
