Hi I'm Taylor Ross Larsen

Im from Oakley, Utah. Im a missionary in Houston Texas. Im a Mormon

About Me

Since a young age, I have always wanted to become a missionary. My hobbies are painting, drawing, singing, acting, anything in the art category. I attended Fall 2012 semester at Southern Utah University where I majored in Art. Then I put my papers in and am now headed to Houston, Texas on my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been so blessed to have a family so actively involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My family and friends inspire me to be a better person. Seeing the joy the gospel brings to those I care about, strengthens my testimony of the Gospel. Thats why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

I love being around people, and always look for opportunities to teach others. I have had the opportunity to serve in the presidency when a Deacon, Teacher, and Priest. As to what a Deacon, Teacher, Priest is, when a boy turns 12 he is ordained the office of a Deacon and is given the authority to administer the sacrament, bread and water, each sunday during sacrament meeting. When 14, boys are then ordained as Teachers, who have the same responsibilities as a Deacon, but also help in preparing the sacrament bread and water for the Deacons to administer to the congregation. A Priest is the calling of a 16 year old, who along with the already mentioned duties of a Deacon and Teacher, can serve as home teachers with a companion, typically their fathers, in teaching members or less actives in their homes. The three, Deacon, Teacher, and Priest all share the same duties and help young men progress in the Gospel and prepare them to become fathers one day, as well as missionaries. By being in the presidency, I helped make sure the duties and responsibilities were being fulfilled each week, as well as planned and made assignments for following weeks.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Taylor Ross Larsen
The main focus when a missionary first enters your home is to be your friend, to be there when you need support, and to teach you more about our Savior Jesus Christ, His Atoning sacrifice for all on this earth, and His love for each and every one of us. Typically, when they first meet you, they just want to know more about your life, your desires, your struggles, your goals, anything that will help them in helping you come closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Through more visits with the missionaries, they can help you understand where and how this Church started, what your role is on this earth, and where you will go after you die. All of this is made possible through faith in Jesus Christ and in following the Lords commandments. Show more Show less
