Hi I'm Krissi

I love the outdoors, sports, music and spending time with my family. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the middle child to the best parents I could possibly imagine, with a baby brother and an older sister, all of whom I love! Oh, and I have an amazing boyfriend. I enjoy being in the outdoors especially when hiking, backpacking and camping. I love playing sports! My favorites include soccer, football and ultimate frisbee. I love to board- any kind and I like it! You can often catch me dancing, no matter the time or place. I'm a car singing enthusiast, adventure seeking wild-child and a future missionary!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church, but not particularly to a strong LDS family. I fell away from the gospel at a young age because I didn't have a testimony to rely on. By the time I was twenty years old, I was so set in my ways and thought nothing of the church, until my best friend Brandon gave his farewell talk before leaving on his mission. He talked of the Savior and His sacrifice so that we could have the blessing of the Atonement in our lives, to save us in every way, and to make it possible for us to one day return to our Father in Heaven. His words spoke to my hardened heart and changed me. I know the feelings I had that day while sitting in the chapel, was that of the Spirit testifying that what he was saying was true. From that day on I continued to attend church every week because I had found the truth and the light, and it was like a beacon in my own life. I have read the Book of Mormon and have tried my best to live it's teachings and because of that I have come to know for a surety that it is the word of God. Alongside the Bible, it's another testament of Jesus Christ and contains the fullness of the Gospel. I don't know where I would be today if it weren't for my best friend, a future missionary, and his strong testimony on the Atonement... But I know it wouldn't be a life of true happiness. THIS is the reason I want to serve a mission. I want to change someone's heart by bringing the same joy into their life, the way my friend brought it into mine. I'm so thankful for the gospel and the love my Savior and Father in Heaven give me unconditionally. I love this church with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the little things each and every day. I live my faith by trying my best to follow the Savior's example by loving all of Heavenly Father's children and serving them in any way I can! I've come to realize for myself just how important daily prayer is, not just once a day, but to have a constant prayer in your heart. I love this gospel, it's so true and so amazing. The best way I can live my faith is by putting the Lord first in my life, in every aspect of my life.
