Hi I'm Jacqueline

I grew up in Utah. I studied Art History in school. I'm serving as a missionary in the Canada Toronto Mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending college studying Art History. I intend to someday work as a Museum Curator. I am also taking several music classes, playing the viola. I have played this instrument for about ten years and have played in orchestra, chamber, and solo. Mine is a family of seven, including myself. I am the middle child of our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am not a person to participate in anything unless I have studied and discovered for myself that it is something I want to do. That is exactly what I have done with this church and the gospel. I have studied the principles and know that they are true and correct. I can feel the love and power of the Savior in this church, because it is His. I continue to be a member because I truly believe this church is inspired by God. The feeling of joy that comes from belonging to His church is amazing. I have become close to my Father in Heaven because of my faith in Him and all that He teaches. I know He loves me and have felt that love every day. Such a strong and joyful feeling could not have come from anywhere else. That is why I am a member of this church.

How I live my faith

My participation in my church is mainly with our youth. Every two weeks I meet with the young girls in my church and prepare activities for them centered around lessons about different principles of our church. I also help plan activities and lessons for a yearly summer campout for our older girls. I am in the process of preparing to serve a mission for my church as well.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Our bodies are the containers for our spirits. Our spirit is something beautiful and perfect and will be ours forever. Our bodies are special because they hold these perfect objects. It is our job to make sure our bodies represent the spirit that is inside of them. We care for them and protect them by keeping them clean from harmful substances and markings. They are called temple of God because God gave them to us to house our spirits. What could be more special than a gift from the Lord? Protect it as you would your finest possession, for that is what your body is. Show more Show less
