Hi I'm Angela

I always believed in God & was searching for the right church. I found it 30 years ago at age 19. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my best friend! We have 1 daughter who is now heading to college. She's our greatest blessing from God. My husband is self employed and works at home as an insurance broker, and I am Chief Operating Officer for a very large medical group. I enjoy photography, and have started a small business doing family portraits in my spare time. We have been very blessed in life. We are healthy, happy, and enjoy life to the fullest. We have had some challenges along the way, but with God on our side, no challenge is too great.

Why I am a Mormon

I started searching for a church when I was 14. My parents did not go to church. I believed in God, and I wanted to go somewhere. I accepted all invitations from friends to attend their various churches but none felt right. As years went by, I started dating a young man who invited me to his church; the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I knew right away after attending that this was exactly what I was looking for. Something 'clicked' inside of me and I knew I had found it. I identified with the Joseph Smith story, in that he was 14 searching for the right church and couldn't find it in any that he attended. I joined the church when I was 19, and was baptized by my boyfriend, who is now my husband of over 25 years! Joining the church is one of the best decisions I've ever made. We have great friends who share the same family values, who want to give service to others, follow the commandments, and live a joyous life. There are still plenty of adversity and challenges, but having faith in God, I know that I am never alone and that He always watches out for me. I love Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father. My membership in the Church is my greatest blessing.

How I live my faith

We go to church every week. I look forward to Sundays, they are my favorite day of the week. We keep the Sabbath Day Holy by not going to stores and restaurants on Sundays. It's the one day a week that I get to take a break from the outside world and enjoy a peaceful day to rest and recooperate from the week. As a volunteer organization, I've had many callings (jobs) teaching small children, teenage young women, and adult women throughout my years as a member. I am eager to do whatever I'm asked to do in the church. By working and serving with other members, we become close; we become a family. I can always rely on other members as I need them, and they can rely on me.
