Hi I'm Maddie

I'm a sister, a daughter, and a friend. I'm a future sister missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! My name is Maddie, and I am a Mormon. I am a sister, daughter, and friend. I am a Sister Missionary called to serve in the Maryland Baltimore Mission. I have an incredible family that has supported me my entire life. They are my rock, and without them I don't know what I would do! I am a student and a healthcare worker. I have been taught to work hard and make the best of what life throws at you. I love to sing, read, cook, and spend time with those I love. I am a fashion lover, who has to find those good bargains! I have decided to serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and couldn't be happier. I am so excited to share something that is so near and dear to my heart, and that is the gospel of Jesus Christ. When I made the decision to take this leap of faith and represent the Lord, I was nervous, terrified, excited, honored, and emotional all at the same time. But I know that through the strength and love of my Heavenly Father, I can do anything. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity I have to serve him, and am so excited to take this journey!

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon.....what a big question. I am a Mormon because I believe in this gospel more than anything in this universe. I without a doubt know that Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, live. I believe that he died on the cross so that I might be saved and forgiven for my sins. I believe that families can be together forever, even when separated by death. I believe that there is a God that loves each and everyone of us, and hopes that we will return to him someday. I believe that through Joseph Smith the true gospel was restored on this earth in the Latter-Days, and if we follow the teachings, we can too live with our Heavenly Father again. Leaving my family for 18 months is not easy. To leave everything you know for a year and a half is utterly terrifying. But, I can only imagine the feelings of fear Christ felt as he took upon himself every sin and sorrow of man kind, and as he hung on the cross after being mocked and beaten by those who he served. The least I can do to repay my Savior is to go out and spread the true gospel, and hopefully change some lives in the process. My name is Sister Maddie Morris. I'm a sister, a daughter, and a friend. I'm a sister missionary serving in Baltimore, Maryland. I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. From when I wake up in the morning to when I go to bed at night, I am thinking about how I am representing the Lord and my faith. One of the Church's biggest believes is in showing service to others. Whether it be in a big way or small, when you show service to your fellow being, you are in the service of your God. Being a healthcare worker, I see a lot of sick people. For some people, coming to the doctor's office can be a scary thing. There are so many unknown factors that can play into ones help problems, and that can be terrifying. As a receptionist, I am one of the first people in the process these people meet. I find that when I am happy and positive, they start to be too. A kind word or a joke can put a smile on anyone's face, and ease some of their worries. When I see that someone might be burdened physically or mentally, I try to help that person and ease their load. By centering my work day around service, I feel that my day goes by quicker and the light of Christ shines ever brighter inside me. I feel closest to my Heavenly Father when I am serving others, and that is how I live my faith.
