Hi I'm Alex Loertscher

I'm a fan of music. I enjoy sports. I love to cook. I love this world. I'm a missionary in Wisconsin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Things that i do involve a little bit of everything! I am growing to love music more and more every day. I play the guitar and its awesome. I try to sing and i have not had anyone tell me I'm bad yet so that's good! I skateboard, snowboard, fish, backpack, and anything else to do in Utah. I do love sports! Its always a good time. I cook lots of different things and i love experimenting to find that perfect taste! I have been out on a mission since December 14th of 2011. I graduated in the summer of 2011. I love Wisconsin! I preach the gospel in Spanish. I'm pretty laid back, always have been! I enjoy "the beauty of the earth".

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because there is no other way in this mortal life to feel the peace and joy that our Father wants for us to feel. The commandments of God make us happy and set us free, and we live all of them to the best of our abilities in his church. The scriptures are unfolded by those who have been given the authority to guide His children in this day. There are so many reasons and too many that i can list as to why I am a member of this church. But what it comes down to is the fact that i know with all of my heart that God loves us enough to listen to and answer our prayers. I have seen way to many miracles to believe anything other than this is the true church of Jesus Christ. His gospel has been restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. We have a prophet today. I have read the Book of Mormon several times and every time without fail, the promise of the prophet Moroni is fulfilled in my life. The Holy Ghost bears witness of truth. I have felt it as i have asked God if the Book of Mormon is true. That pure answer that I have received telling me that "Yes, it is true," did not come from myself, not from science, nor from man, and none of those will take my testimony away from me. It came from God, through his spirit. I quote the prophet Joseph Smith when i say "I know it, and I know that God knows it, and I cannot deny it."

How I live my faith

I have always been on an increase as i have gotten older in my life as to finding more and more ways to live my faith. I try to find more and more ways to become like the Savior and apply them in my life. I am definitely not perfect! Although the Atonement has allowed me to become more humble, which allows God to take those weak things in my life, shape them and refine them, and make me a stronger person. Right now as a missionary, there is countless opportunities that I have to live what i believe. Charitable acts of service to others has been an incredible blessing on my life out here. The most amazing experiences however, come from the moments when i get to share the light, and the love, and the all around change that i have experienced in my own life through the beautiful ordinances of the gospel, with other people through missionary work. Teaching people who only do not know about these truths because they do not know where to find it has been a miracle to me, and to those who I get to meet. I live His commandments, and I feed His sheep.
