Hi I'm Rebecca

I am an aspiring artist, a future mother, and a loving wife, daughter, sister and friend. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Hillsboro Or. I loved playing with my friends and still do. School was fun and challenging. I loved to draw and sculpt and I still do. I was into the out doors. I loved climbing trees. My family moved to Dundee Or after high school and I was accepted into Brigham Young University Idaho. I served a mission for the church in 2008-2009 in the Salt Lake City Mission. I came home and met my now husband back up at BYU-I. We have been married for almost 2 and a half years. We are both working on graduating from school and waiting for children to join our tiny family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being taught the gospel in my home. When I was 8 I had read the book of Mormon 2 with the family and once by myself. I prayed about it and I knew it was true, and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. At 21, I knew I could serve a mission but didn't know if I wanted to. I knew I needed to in 2007 and prepared for it. I was able to serve in utah and yes that is a mission too and no, not on temple square. I was bale to help with the 2 temple open houses in 2009 and it was a joy to see all the people touched by the spirit of the house of God. After returning home and heading back off to finish college, I met my now husband and we were sealed in the Rexburg Temple. I know that the Temple is a sacred place and in its walls we make promises. I know that the sealing, binding the husband a wife as one for ever and their future children to them, is such a blessing. If I did not know, the miscarriage we faced in 2011 would have been unbearable. But I know that little child is mine forever, I just have to wait to hold them in my arms. The gospel is true, the Book of Mormon is the word of God as is the Bible. President Monson is Gods prophet and mouthpiece on the earth today. Jesus Christ is my savior and Redeemer. I know He loves me. By repenting, giving up the things we do wrong and not doing them, we can better return to our Heavenly Fathers presence.

How I live my faith

With my husband, I am able to organize fun activities for the people in our church group. Our area is a married student "Ward" and the ladies here are amazing! I have been going walking with a few of the gals who have become my friends since moving here. I am trying to get back into school so I can teach art to kids or share my art with others.. once I graduate..

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Rebecca
My husband and I are sealed for time and all eternity. We will never be separated even in death. Our children are sealed , bound to us forever, as well. I know the little one we are waiting for is ours. It is not lost, we are just waiting to hold them again. Show more Show less
