Hi I'm Mary Katherine

I'm a Virginia girl at heart. I love going on outdoor adventures. I love yoga. I'm a nurse. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in beautiful Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. When I was growing up I loved visiting sites that were important to the history of the United States. I am the oldest of four kids and love spending time with my family. I studied nursing in college. I had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer in India for several weeks. I learned so much about finding happiness despite our circumstances. I love to ski, hike, rappel, camp, and explore this beautiful world.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the true gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that true gospel. I know that my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ, love me and want me to find joy in this life. Life is hard, but this gospel brings me joy. I have received countless blessings in my life from following the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others and striving to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am currently a member of a group that plans weekly activities for the young adult singles in my ward. We meet every Monday night to serve, have fun, and be spiritually uplifted. I also visit several girls in my ward each month. I love getting to know new people and gaining strength from other Mormon women.

What is the Relief Society?

Mary Katherine
The Relief Society was organized in 1842. All Mormon women, age 18 and older, are members of the Relief Society and are organized into smaller groups based on where they live. Each Sunday those smaller groups of women meet to teach each other about the gospel of Jesus Christ, to find strength and encouragement Show more Show less
