Hi I'm Trennon!

I love to get out and run around. I love music and lazy afternoons. Church is where it's at and I LOVE being a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Trennon and I love playing sports and listening to music. I was born in AZ and raised in Utah. I spent 11 years playing soccer and still can't get enough. My Dad is my hero and because of him I ran track/cross country in high school along with playing basketball and soccer. Nearly everything I know I can say I learned from him. I enjoy playing the piano and like singing to the radio. I'm a freshman in college and I always look forward to spending time with my 2 younger sisters and my little brother. I grew up in the church and graduated from seminary. It took me a long time to really appreciate the gospel and the blessings it brings me. But, now, I love it and try to learn more every day! Right now I'm serving the Lord in Kennewick Washington by sharing the gospel everyday as a missionary. I've found out that while I don't know a lot about the gospel, the Lord helps me know enough. I guess I just try to take Jesus' advice and "Be not afraid, only believe." (Mark 5:36)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this is the only way to find lasting happiness. I've spent 19 years of my life looking for something to bring me true, lasting happiness and this is it. Knowing that God has a plan for His children and knowing that I can be with my family forever always puts a smile on my face. I love the feeling I get when I'm studying the scriptures and I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. When I turned 19, I was able to serve a mission to spread this exact message in the great state of Washington. Every time we find someone that believes what we believe, that a testimony builder that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I used teach a group of 7 and 8 year old kids in my ward. That was a ton of fun and I loved it. You learn all sorts of things from young kids like that and they helped me realize that the gospel is for everyone, all the time. Not just for the good people at church. I live my faith by trying to be kind to everyone and sharing the words of Christ to everyone. I know I was never a perfect brother or son, but thankfully, we have a chance to repent and improve. Also, as a missionary, I try to live my faith by sharing it with everyone I meet. It seems like there is always someone who is in need for some cheering up and the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings happiness, every time!

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is different than just attending a certain church every Sunday. Being a Mormon is a lifestyle! We still put our pants on one leg at a time like everyone else though. There are things that we choose not to do but we don't feel like we are being deprived of anything. The church doesn't require much, but the Lord wants us to give all we can! We give 10% of the money we earn to the Church to help provide for the things that cost money (buildings, bills, and the like). We don't drink alcohol, coffee, or tea. We don't smoke or use anything that could be addicting. Some people call that restrictive...but living without addictions is a blessing! We go to church every Sunday for 3 hours. Yeah, it's long for all of us, too. But, we enjoy the feeling we get from being able to spend time and learn with people we love.
