Hi I'm Mitch

I am recent business school grad, I am a Fire Protection Engineer, I love spending time with my family and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from Business School in Entrepreneurship. I have really enjoyed the last few years of college and I am excited to go into the real world and start my career. I am ready to move past the learning in the classroom and now apply what I have learned. My field of study is entrepreneurship, so I always have a side company and product I am working on. Who knows maybe one day being an entrepreneur will help me make it big. My first full time job out of school is a Fire Protection Engineer. I work for a subcontracting company that designs and installs fire sprinkler systems. It's really a fun job, I think what I enjoy most about it is being able to create something. I can drive down the street and every few minutes say "I designed that building, and I designed this building." I love the feeling of pride knowing I contributed to making and designing beautiful buildings. It is a good job that provides well for me and my wife. My family means everything to me. I just got married a year ago, and it is the best decision I ever made. I have four sisters who are my best friends. All of my family is extremely close and love to spend time together. My Dad and I do sports together; snowmobiling, snowboarding, boating, archery and rock climbing. I am grateful everyday that my Heavenly Father has blessed me with such a wonderful family. Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church and served in many leadership roles. However I reach an age where I had to find out for myself in the church really is true. I started taking my religion seriously. I studied the Bible and the Book of Mormon passionately. I participated more in church activities and I did the most important step; I asked God if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in true. After much study and pray I received powerful feelings from the Holy Ghost that it was true. I know this church is true, if I did not I would not live my life the way I do. I know it is true and that is why I have dedicated my life to the Savior. It takes a little work but anyone can know for themselves if they ask God with a sincere desire to know the truth. I have reached a few major milestones in the last couple years. I have gotten married, graduated from college, and started a career. Fairly soon my wife and I will start our family. I am glad I know the church is true, it gives me confidence that I will raise my family in the right faith, with the right values believing in the Savior.

How I live my faith

Every day we live our faith. I feel like faith is a decision to live our lives in a way that God would want us to. I try to do that by keeping the commandments, being honest and ethical, and sharing with others the joy I have our knowing about God. I am a really imperfect person and hopefully will learn to live my faith better. I try every day to treat my wife like the angle that she is:), be honest in my interactions with others, and make sure I think about the Savior often.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Mitch
Mormons do their best to live there lives in the most Christ-like way they can. Naturally we all make mistakes, but we do our best to change and become like our Savior. Often I fall short of my expectations and the Lord’s expectations however my goal is to live everyday better then I did yesterday. That is what our church teaches learn to be your best self and reach your full potential. Prepare now to meet God. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

Mitch
It is a remarkable thing to know that we can be with our families after we die. My heart is full of gratitude that I can be with those I love most in this life, truly my best friends. I can not imagine a world with out my family. Because I belong with them, in my family I have a special place where I fit. It is a blessing that Heavenly Father has given us; we can be with our families forever. There will be no empty chairs at my family table, we will be together, which is where we belong. What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Mitch
Missionaries message is centered on Jesus Christ and his Atonement. They will also invite you to make choices to bring you closer to the Savior. The things they invite you to do will help you know if their message is true. If you listen to the missionaries with an open heart and do the things they ask you then you will know by the power of the Holy Ghost that they are telling you the truth. Show more Show less
