Hi I'm Peter

I live in New England. I am an avid seeker of knowledge, learning and truth where ever it is found. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read all kinds of things. Classics, fantasy novels such as Lord of the Rings. I also love to write. I enjoy to play sports like basketball, football, soccer, tennis, racketball, or any sport really. I like to be active, and experience the outdoors by going camping, hiking, swiming and other fun things to do. I am an identical twin, which I take pride and joy in. I am a devote seeker of knowledge, I can never seem to get enough. My favorite areas of study would be: Religion, Philosophy, Politics, History, English and languages in General. I can speak Mandarin Chinese at a moderate level. I am currently learning Latin, Ancient Greek, and Biblical Hebrew at basic levels. I like to talk, and be friendly, and get to know people. I like movies, and music like everyone else seems to do. I love to dance, eat, sing and just have a good time with family, friends, or new people. I am currently a student, studding Humanities at BYU-Idaho. I want to be a professor one day. Of what, I am not as of this moment 100% sure, but I am getting closer to an idea that I would enjoy. I am 24, single and have 5 brothers and 1 sister who I love with all my heart.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I have searched, looked, and put many hours into trying to understand the meaning of life. I am a Mormon because as I have lived by the teachings of the prophets of the church, and the teachings of Jesus I have found that is when I have been the most happy. I have seriously and honestly evaluated my life more than once, and I have seen as clear as day that I am more content, at peace, happy and hopeful about my own sojourn that I am currently traveling. I am a Mormon because I have found answers to questions that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. I am a Mormon believe it or not because it just makes sense. Logical sense to me. I am a Mormon because it has brought purpose, value and direction to my life on a small and overall scale. I am a Mormon now and forever because I feel in my heart and mind that it is right. I am not a Mormon because it is easy, or convenient , or because I was brought up that way. On the contrary, as I have said before its not because of any of those things. It is because at the end of each given day, week, month, year it is the one thing that I can count on to be there, to be consistently lifting me up to higher plains of thought and being. Being a Mormon IS the thing that makes a better person than I was the day before. Those are some, but not all of the reasons why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith like anyone else does: day to day, moment to moment. Each day is a new day to learn more about yourself, others, things around us, and God. I try my very best to take the time to learn more about God, by saying morning and evening personal prayers and by reading the scriptures such as the Bible and book of Mormon. We are all religious whether we know it or not. To be religious is really only believing in a certain set of ideals, doctrines, principles or ethics. For some, their faith comes from ideas of themselves or others. For me, my religion comes from God. I find that my faith encourages me to live a God centered, family oriented life. I live my faith by talking with and loving my family and others. I live my faith by helping where I can, by taking the time to call a friend in need. I go to church each week, and come together with imperfect people trying to better themselves. How do I live my faith? Well, it is how I live my life from day to day. That is my faith!
