Hi I'm Wyatt D'Monte Blackhurst

I'm a soccer player. I love to play video games. I have a deep passion for music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey there, I'm one of those people who tries to be different but might try to hide it. I take comfort in helping others be happy and love to see people smile. I have graduated High school and have done one semester of College in Utah. In High School I played soccer and was on the Ballroom team. I very much enjoyed them both even with them being very different from each other. Over the last ten years or so I have been in Scouting and ranked all the way up to an Eagle Scout! Scouting sure did teach me a lot and I would go back and do it again if i could! One thing that I absolutely love to do is drive. It doesn't matter if I am driving to the store for my mother, I am happy to drive anywhere and everywhere.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a part of this gospel. It has helped me so much throughout my entire life and I believe that it will continue to help me as long as I stay faithful. I have had a few struggles along the way and I have always been helped back up onto my feet. When I was younger my father was sent off to Iraq for over a year and I had kind of fallen away and started to make the wrong decisions. I never knew if he would be coming back and I blamed the lord for that. Every day I would hear about soldiers being killed and I guess that I was waiting to hear bad news about my dad. Through that experience I learned that I needed to trust that the lord would keep him safe because he still had a family to come home to and take care of. It really helped me a lot to know that the lord watched over him and he will watch over me as long as I stay faithful. He will never leave my side no matter what and he will continue to help me through any question or struggle throughout my whole life.

How I live my faith

I have been a Mormon all my life and over the years the way I have lived my faith has differed. Throughout all my years of holding the Aaronic Priesthood I have held a calling, all consisting of some time being president of the quorums. I have always tried my best to keep up with my hometeaching and I have had different experiences with the different places I have lived. For example when I was in a family ward I would have to teach entire families every month and it was a lot easier and more fun to teach the children. Then when I moved to a singles ward I taught people that were the same age as me and so the lessons would be a little more in detail. I will be serving a mission pretty soon here and I am excited to share my faith with those who have not heard of it yet. I will always continue on in my faith.
