Hi I'm Daniel

I grew up in a little town in southeast Idaho. I'm a husband and a father and a student dentist at UCLA. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a large family of seven siblings, and I fall right in the middle. I grew up in the country where my brothers and I enjoyed the freedom of the open spaces. When we weren't getting into trouble we were usually helping my dad with the up-keeping chores and manual labor that our property required. I served a two year mission for the LDS church in Chile Concepcion. I loved every minute of it! Well, almost every minute of it, those summer days would get pretty hot and humid. When I returned home I completed my undergraduate studies in Exercise Science at BYU. I was married to my beautiful wife Kylie in 2009, after which we moved to Los Angeles to complete dental school at UCLA. We recently moved to Houston to complete a specialty program in Orthodontics at UT-Houston. We have been blessed with our beautiful 2-year old daughter Evalyn, who is the joy of our lives. We love spending time together in the outdoors and staying active in our community. I enjoy training for and participating in racing events such as triathlons, cycling events and marathons.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because by living my faith I have been blessed with happiness and joy in my life. I have come to know for myself that my faith is true. I know that God lives and loves each of his children dearly. I know that he has a plan for each of us that leads to eternal happiness, if we but follow His teachings. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our Savior, and that He lives. It is through Him, that this plan is made possible. He is the center of our faith. It is because of His sacrifice that we are able to repent and change. It is through Him that hope is offered to anyone that is willing to follow Him. I have witnessed these truths change the lives of many families and individuals. I have seen the joy that floods into their lives as they come to know these same truths for themselves. This is why I want to share this message with the world!

How I live my faith

I love living my faith because it brings me peace and happiness. I live my faith by attending weekly church meetings and participating in community service and outreach events that our church organizes. I also love my faith because it focuses on the family. As a family, we pray and read the scriptures together daily. Each Monday evening we get together and hold a family night where we pick a topic about our faith and learn more about it. My wife and I serve in different callings/assignements in our local church organization where we have responsibilities to teach those in our congregations more about the Gospel Doctrines.
