Hi I'm Adrienne Rogers

I'm a family girl, I'm a servant of the Lord in the Washington Spokane Mission, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to laugh and be around funny people. I want to do adventurous things and travel around the world. I feel God has made this world diverse to bring us joy and fulfillment. One of my favorite things to do is watch movies! I also love taking Sunday naps, eating food (I often crave burgers and fries), and being with my friends and family. I feel extremely blessed to have the family that I do. We aren't perfect, but I believe that I would not be growing and learning as much if myself and those I love did not make mistakes. I am close with my family, immediate and extended, and I often feel very close to God when I am spending time with them. My best friends are my cousins and I thank my Heavenly Father often for giving me these eternal friends who are always there for me and help me to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. There are moments when I am weary and uncertain of what is to come - Through out my missionary service I have gained a greater understanding of the importance of trusting the Lord and doing His will. As I exercise faith in Him, I am learning to love life and the uncertainty that comes with it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches the fullness of the gospel. As I live the gospel, I am reminded that the Lord loves me and cares for my well being. Those reminders often come as I recognize the blessings I have received through out my life. He has offered me a way to be fully forgiven of my mistakes, to feel comfort in difficult times, to be optimistic and hopeful for the future, and to be with my family forever. As a member of His church, I feel a push to be better and strive for greatness. I feel immense gratitude for the knowledge I've been given and for the many great things I've received from Him. I am a Mormon because it offers a way of living that brings me true joy and happiness.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary in the Washington, Spokane mission! Serving Him in this capacity has brought me so much happiness. There is nothing greater. This experience has strengthened and fortified my testimony of this gospel despite the negativity and rejection I have received from others. I strive to be a disciple of my Savior, Jesus Christ, by helping God's children understand that He is merciful and loving. They can repent and be healed through the Atonement! Through daily prayer and study, I have grown to love the scriptures. I always feel peace and clarity as I read and search them. Through out my service as a missionary I've recognized that I most often receive direct and clear answers to my prayers as I use this tool the Lord has given me.
