Hi I'm Susanne

I love being with my family, teaching and being in the out-of-doors. And, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Arizona where my dad was a school principal and my mom a teacher. Almost every summer we would go to southeastern Arizona to the ranch run by my dad's brothers. I loved playing along the irrigation ditch banks and under the huge old pecan and cottonwood trees. As I grew older dad worked alongside my siblings and I as we earned money for school clothes and shoes by hoeing cotton, topping onions and sorting potatoes. I hold a BA from Brigham Young University and a MA from the University of Arizona. I've been a teacher, marriage and family counselor, and worked with children and young adults who've been victims of abuse. I am a wife, mother of 5 children, and 15 grandchildren - who I adore. I love the out of doors, teaching, family history, cooking and sewing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon by choice. My parents guided, but didn't impose the church on me. I was taught to have faith in our Savior, to love others, to serve willingly, and to get all the education I could.

How I live my faith

I love people! I treasure my family and friends and enjoy working with and helping others. I have taught and worked in advisory capacities to all ages both in community and church settings.
