Hi I'm Sean Bills

Grew up in Dallas. I'm always in the middle. Currently serving a mission for The Church in South Carolina. 20. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I mostly grew up in Allen Texas, near Dallas. I moved there when I was 5 and lived there until I was 17. When I was 17 I ended up moving with my family to Gig Harbor Washington and finished high school there. I've got two brothers and no sisters. I played football and baseball for a long time. I'm down to play any sport since they're always fun. I can't live without music. You'll usually have to get my attention twice because I have headphones on. Having a sense of humor has always gotten me through life too. I'm a student at BYU Hawaii, but right now I'm serving my 2 year mission in the South Carolina Columbia mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints firstly because I was born into it. My parents are active members of the church. I never thought much of the church and I didn't really know if it was God's church on the Earth or if God even existed. Once I realized that I wasn't the happiest that I could be in life, I started searching for myself to find out if what I was taught growing up was true or not. Once I had finally desired to know, I started to receive my answer from God. I did everything I could to receive my answer, like reading the Bible and Book of Mormon, and praying to Heavenly Father and asking Him the questions I had. I gave Him all that I could to receive an answer. Once I did that, I received a confirmation from God that this is where He wanted me to be. Since then I've felt true happiness from living right and sharing the Gospel with others, and in my experiences I have seen so many things that have also confirmed to me that God is real and that this is His church. He's always helped me in my own struggles and watched over me from the beginning. This church has all of the blessings that The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings and being a member of this church has given me more freedom and happiness than anything else I know. What better church to be in than Jesus Christ's?

How I live my faith

There's a lot of ways that I live my faith. One way has to do with the every day decisions that we all make. I try my best every day to make sure that I'm following what God wants for me, and also that I'm happy. I think that it's especially important to make sure to let Heavenly Father be a major influence in my life, and that's why I love the concept of prayer so much. I can always talk with God and let him know what I need help with, and what I'm grateful for. When some days get hard I can receive a lot of peace and comfort with the knowledge and sense of happiness that God gives me through prayer. Living my faith every day has given me the greatest happiness that I've ever received in my life. I'm also living my faith in a big way by serving my mission right now too. It's been an incredible blessing since I decided to come out and help others by teaching them The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every day I enjoy finding people that need help from the message I get to share because I get to see how it effects them. I have found that Christ and His Gospel has made me change so much that I want to share it with everyone that I can. It's an amazing thing to see the powerful effect that the Atonement of Jesus Christ has on those that I've come to meet and teach.
