Hi I'm Ivanna Rojas

I was born and raised in the church. I love music and traveling. I'm serving in the Canada Toronto Mission and I'm a MORMON!

About Me

I am the oldest of six kids. I love my family very much, growing up we always struggled with money but that never discouraged my parents. They have taught me to be humble, have patience, and know that our Lord always has a plan for us. My parents have also taught me the great value of hard work, service, and education. I learned to play the piano at a young age, and was taught how to read and write in Spanish, English, and French. I have a huge passion for music, dance, travelling, learning a new language, and reading a good book.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised as a Mormon all my life. One day I started to question everything I had been taught, simply because I was not sure if I had my own testimony of The Church, or if I was repeating others testimony that I heard. I found myself slowly praying less and less, and finding every excuse possible to not read my scriptures. It got to the point where I felt so lost in the world, and so alone. After a hard, long day at school, and arguing with my parents I decided that I needed to pray. The way I was feeling and was acting was so strange to me, it was almost like I was a completely different person. When I started to pray I felt such comfort, and warmth in my heart. At one point I felt as though I was getting a hug from my Heavenly Father. That is when I knew that the Lord loves me and knew what I was going through. I am a Mormon because I know it is true. It makes me a better person, and in the dark, scary world we live in He has protected me and lead me through it. I now have my own testimony.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying often, reading my scriptures, and providing service to others. Throughout my life I quickly learned how important service is. One of my favourite scripture is "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God" Mosiah 2:17.I find such joy in helping others. I volunteered at a Regional Hospital, a Retirement home, and Food Bank. I also helped my Church when I took the calling of Break The Fast Co-ordinator, and as counsellor for the women in the church. I helped plan activities, teach lessons, at times provided meals, and visited the Sisters. I live my faith by being the best person, sister, daughter, and friend that I can be.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Ivanna Rojas
We believe that families can be together even after death. What an amazing gift to know that once a loved one has passed they are never gone, instead we will see them and be with them again. Show more Show less
