Hi I'm Cerissa

I have grown up in the church. I am entering the field of Public Health. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love shopping, clothes, reading, and movies. If I could spend my time with a great book and the people I hold most dear I would be more than happy. I think it is important to enjoy the things this life and world has to offer. I think everyone should make the most of every opportunity they have. Going out of my comfort zone is hard, but I actively look for things to do that will help me grow and learn. Everything from zip-lining over a ravine to going on a mission. There is so much this world has to offer and I want to be able to experience as much of it as I can with the people I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I cannot imagine my life without this gospel. Plan and simple this religion is why I am the person I am today. I love and cherish the relationship I have with my Heavenly Father (God). The love and support this gospel offers can heal all pains. I have grown up in the church and have grown my testimony on my own over time. My parents deserve a lot of credit for providing me with the foundation I needed to succeed and be where I am today. Life is hard, really hard sometimes, but no matter how awful it gets I know that God and Jesus are looking down on me and care about ME specifically. It is so comforting to know that Christ suffered for my sins and that he knows the pain, anguish, heart-ache, and sorrow I experience. Knowing that has brought me great comfort and peace through the trials of life. I know where I came from, why I am here on earth, what I am supposed to be doing, and where I am going. This gospel fills the void in your heart that the world creates. Miracles happen every day if we just take the time to see them. Our Heavenly Father cares about us and wants us to succeed and return to him again. I know that if I live my life accordingly I will return to live with him again. And I can be with my family for time and all eternity. Who wouldn't want that?

How I live my faith

I have taken a big leap of faith and have decided to serve a mission. I could not be happier with my decision. I have the opportunity to serve for the next 18 months of my life and I do not know of a more fulfilling thing I could do with my time. As I grew up in the church I never envisioned myself serving a mission, but as time and experience went on I grew and changed and can now see how God prepared me to do just what I thought I would never do. My faith in God and in this church is my foundation for serving my mission. I know without a doubt that this is what I am supposed to be doing. I am excited that I am going to be able to share the gospel with people who are waiting to hear it.
