Hi I'm Anna

I grew up all over the United States. I love reading, cooking, and eating. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying elementary education. School, work, and church keep my pretty busy. I love my family very much, especially my nieces and nephews. My favorite role in life is being an aunt. I am putting everything on hold to serve a full time mission. It will be worth everything because the Lord loves His children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is God's true church that He chose to restore to the earth through His humble servant, the prophet Joseph Smith. I have never seen angels or visions from heaven, but I know with all my heart that what Joseph saw was true. God the Father and Jesus Christ did in reality speak to Him and used this farm boy to restore the true church. Joseph Smith did indeed translate the Book of Mormon. I know it to be the word of God. No matter how many times I have read it, the Holy Ghost testifies of its truth to me. It is truly for our day. I have received personal revelation from God through the Book of Mormon. It speaks words of truth to my soul. We have a prophet on the earth today, President Thomas S. Monson. He is God's conduit for our eternal salvation. I know that families can be together forever, even when heaven seems so far away. I am so gratefully I can cherish mine forever if I am true to God's commandments. Above all, I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is truly our Savior and our Redeemer. He is our Advocate with the Father because He was willing to suffer for every single person who has ever and will ever live. Our sins are washed clean through His eternal sacrifice. Repentance, the opportunity to progress and change, is possible for ever single one of us as a result. None are perfect but that is exactly why Jesus Christ died for us. More importantly, through the power of resurrection, He lives for us. We are sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father. That means we are worth it. The atonement was made for all mankind because we are loved by the most perfect being who ever graced this earth. I know that the Lord loves His beloved children. All of this in our mortal experience is for our good. It will make us eternally happy if that is our choice. I am so gratefully that I am a Mormon because I have the knowledge I need to choose to be happy every single day of my life, now and forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith similar to most Christian people. I try to be kind. I love my family. I do my best to serve in my community and those around me. I love reading my scriptures. I try to do everything in my life that would make my Heavenly Father proud of me. I am privileged to get to serve my fellow brothers and sisters. I am currently teaching four-year-olds. They are so full of life and curiosity. As I try to teach them to live like Jesus, they seem to show me through their actions tenfold.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are some of strongest people I have ever known. Being one of them, I consider it a blessing to be among them. They are all unique but are united by their compassion, service, and faith in Jesus Christ. They strive to be and do their best. I was able to teach a group of awhile, and I LOVED it because of how great they were. Mormon women are in every way equal to men. They do not have the same responsibilities as men, but their worth and importance of their duties is in every way equal in the eyes of God. I feel blessed that I became and continue to become a woman in the midst of such great examples. I look forward to the day when I will be able to be sealed to a young man who will honor and respect me, as I will do the same for him. I am so excited at the prospect of being a mother and rearing a family with my future husband. We will be able to raise our family united in our faith and love for each other and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I would not have my life any other way than the one that God has designated. It is not a burden but a joy only felt by those who experience it. Show more Show less
