Hi I'm Rachel

I love the mountains, chocolate covered fruit, and taking pictures as I travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student studying political science. I am a daughter and sister and love my family very much. We like to hike together, snow and water ski together, play games together, and go on vacations together. I love being outside and taking pictures while I'm there. My dream job is to be a photographer for National Geographic. I drive a stick shift car and like to think that makes me a spy. Lion King is my favorite movie and I wear sandals as often as I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life and I will be a Mormon for the rest of my life because I have felt the love of God assuring me that the teachings and principles taught in this church are true. The doctrine of eternal families is most precious to me and is the foundation that I build so much of my life on. Christ has helped me through trials and difficulties. I know that He lives, that He loves each of us, that He wants the best for us. Going to church each week, reading my scriptures each day and praying to my Heavenly Father keep me strong enough to face each challenge with determination and happiness. Christ lives, this is His church, and it brings me every happiness that I have.

How I live my faith

Part of living my faith is caring for others. I have the pleasure of visiting with two girls in my neighborhood, taking care of them, sharing uplifting thoughts, and helping them whenever possible. I care for my roommates, my friends, and my family. I try to be a friend and a support to those around me because sometimes things get hard and it's nice to have someone to go through the hard things with. I also get to plan weekly meetings with friends to play games, eat treats, and share thoughts on Christ and His teachings.
