Hi I'm Mary

I grew up among the corn and bean fields of Illinois. I love my huge family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 19 year old red head trying to find her place in the world. I am an avid book lover and movie buff. I absolutely adore every one of my 12 nieces and nephews. Music has played a huge part in my life as I sing, dance, and listen to it. I went to school at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah for a year so far. I love to travel to new places and see the beauty that this world holds.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I have fallen and stumbled many times in my faith. When I am not being righteous and following the commandments, I can't seem to be genuinely happy. In my sin, I can only go through the motions of life as well as I can. However, when I am in tune with the Holy Ghost I can clearly see God's plan for me ,and it truly is the plan of happiness. His plans for me will make me more than I could ever hope to be on my own. Part of his plan includes eternal families. My family is my rock and my joy. Knowing that I can be with them forever because of the restored Gospel is the greatest blessing ever. I never want to be lost and unsure ever again. And so, I strive to live a life my Father in heaven would be proud of, so when I meet him again he can smile at me and say welcome home daughter.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to be apart of the youth programs in my church. I got to teach the young women from my ward back home. There is something so special about teenagers as they try to find their testimonies and find themselves. Plus they sure do know how to have a good time! I also have embarked on the adventure of a lifetime, a full time mission for my church, which consists of 18 months away from the world to preach the true Gospel of Christ. I will be serving in the Las Vegas area and learning the Spanish language. I can't wait to share my experiences and testimony with people there. I use my faith everyday to give me hope and happiness for the future and God's plan for me.
