Hi I'm Jessica Lyn McCabe

I have been a member of the Church all my life. I grew up in Connecticut, now I reside in Maine. I am 35, married with 3 children.

About Me

I have been a member of the Church all my life. I grew up in Hartland, CT; attended the Hartford Ward, in Bloomfield CT. When I was 11, our family moved to North Berwick, ME. I currently reside in Berwick, ME with my best friend and wonderful husband of 4 years; Ryan McCabe. We have 3 wonderful sons, Josiah age 12, Connor age 7 and Liam age 9 months. I have been a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician for 7 years, and love it! I love my patients, and get much satisfaction from caring for them. I am a primary teacher, (Sunday school); for 5 and 6 year olds. What great blessings I have recieved from these special spirits.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in the Church with all my heart. I was lucky to be born in the Church and have a great testimony of the Primary Program, (for children in the Church). Here, I gained my testimony of the Church, and where the roots of my very essence stem from. I know that this is the only true Church on earth. I know that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel in these latter days. The Church and it's teaching guide and direct us and bring great happiness and blessings.

How I live my faith

My family and I recently started going back to church. This has been a tremendous blessing to us. My son Josiah has been baptized and is going to the temple for the first time. I live my faith in everything I do. I stand as a witness "at all times, and in all places". I am proud to share the gospel with friends and neighbors. I personally work hard to help the missionaries find people to teach. Attending church weekly, praying daily and regular scripture study are some of the ways I live mt faith.

Where did Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints begin?

The best way to understand the Church and it's origins, aside from Joseph Smith who was chosen by God to restore Christ's Church in the "Latter Days", is to understand that it's the same organized church that existed when Christ lived upon the Earth. "We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth" (Articles of Faith 1:6) Jesus established His Church when he was on earth. It was called the Church of Jesus Christ, and the members were called Saints (Ephesians 2:19-20). Show more Show less
