Hi I'm Emily Nydegger

I grew up in New Jersey and Utah. I love laughing! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in New Jersey and Utah! I love both beatiful places! I am a freshman studying Communication Disorders at BYU and I absolutely love it here! I love anything that has to do with being active and outdoors. I love to run, ski, play lacrosse, hike, camp, and climb! I LOVE service and anything that will help others. It probably the greatest thing anyone could ever do and it makes me so happy! I love music. Playing it or listening, it is huge part of my life and I am so grateful for it! I am the oldest of 7 kids, and I love my family. They are the greatest people ever and I am so lucky to have them. I love spending time with my best friends. They are the greatest girls in the world and we laugh constantly! I am so blessed to be where I am today. I have just been called to serve a mission for 18 months in the beautiful land of Madrid, Spain and I am SO unbelievably excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this gospel and happiness it brings! I love the light that Mormons have shining from their eyes. I believe that we are all given simple tender mercies everyday to help brighten our day. These little acts of service and daily proofs of the Lord's hand in my life have confirmed to me that this gospel is true. I have prayed and found for myself that this is the true gospel on the earth today. I know that Christ atoned for me. Heavenly Father knows me as an individual and knows exactly what I have, am, and will go through. He knows my sadness, my happiness, my heartache, and my joy. I can truly say that every happiness and truth that I have found in my life can be attributed to my Savior. When I choose to obey his commandments and live my life in a Christ-like way, I am as happy as can be. I am fervently trying to live my life in a way that will allow me to return home to Him one day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the little things I do each day. I believe that happy, charitable, honest, and kind people are truly examples of Christ! I try to live my life in way that emulates those Christ-like attributes. I live my faith by attending church meetings, partaking of the sacrament, and living a worthy life. My calling is a Relief Society teacher, and I love how I get the opportunity to share my testimony to others every time I teach!
