Hi I'm Travis Chapman

I grew up in California. I lived in Finland. I love liberty. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah. I was raised in California. I lived 2 years in Finland. I currently live in Utah. I am the 11th child in a family with 13 kids. I like spending time with family, defending individual liberty, learning and playing basketball. My parents are amazing and they had to be to raise 13 kids! Mom is loving and watchful over her kids and Dad is a hard worker and creator. Because of my parents' examples I want to be a better person. Being one of the youngest in a big family, I have been able to learn by watching my older brothers and sisters. I can watch out for the mistakes they made and I can also follow their examples because of the great things they do. For one who likes learning, it's a win win. I like to read, study and practice. Some of my favorite subjects are music, especially the piano, United States history, foreign languages and web design. I have played the piano for over 13 years. Before moving to Finland I was senior vice president of web development in a company that I started with my brother-in-law. In Finland, I served as a full-time missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for two years, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the people here in the Finnish language. Missionaries share the joyful message of the Living Christ! I want to be a great husband and father when I grow up.

Why I am a Mormon

I know we are all spirit children of God, our Heavenly Father. He loves us. He sent us here to earth, to learn and grow so we could prepare to live with Him forever. Because He knew we would sin and make mistakes, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay the debt our sins would create. Through Jesus Christ and His gospel we can be forgiven of our sins and be found worthy to live with God again. He asks us to keep His commandments, to take upon us His name by being baptized and repenting of our sins. I love our Heavenly Father and I love Jesus Christ, which is why I made the choice to be baptized, why I made the decision to be a Mormon, so that I might keep Their commandments. I know that if I trust in the Lord and always strive to be obedient to Him, to serve Him and His children, I will be happy. I can live with God again!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow Jesus Christ. I try to uplift the people around me, by being positive and speaking encouraging words to them. I try to set a good example by following the perfect example set by Jesus Christ. The Savior loved everyone and treated them kindly to. While I am not perfect in doing as He did, I do my best to try. Jesus Christ is the best example, and I try to follow Him.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Travis Chapman
Yes! Families can be together even after they are separated by death in this life. My family is most dear to me and close to my heart. Because of Heavenly Father's plan of happiness, families can be together forever. He simply asks that we follow Him and keep His commandments. Show more Show less
