Hi I'm Karynne

I'm a Mormon and I love life. I have a passion for the gospel, being outdoors, learning languages and doing crazy exciting things.

About Me

I am the daughter of two hard workers. My parents are divorced, but they both support me in doing what makes me happy. My father is not a member of the church, so we often have very different opinions, but we manage. Last year I spent time in Germany as an Au Pair, and I am fluent in German. I love learning languages, especially when I have the opportunity to be immersed in another culture. I think learning a language is great, but if you don't learn more about the people that speak it, what's the point? I have a crazy plan for my future, and I'm not sure how it's going to work out, but I know with the Lord's help, my future will be everything it needs to be. I like to spend my free time outside. I love hiking, and this summer I learned to surf with my best friend. I've been sky diving, but I think bungee jumping might be a better fit. It looks scarrier. I have two best friends. They are my younger sister and someone I have been friends with since I was five. I am a cold-weather girl, but I like New England's four seasons. I want to experience everything there is to do in this life, all the good stuff... that is, and whatever will make me stronger. Heavenly Father knows me best, so I'll let him be my guide.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I love to live life with a purpose. I know that God has a plan for me, and he loves me. I know that living differently than others can make life seem harder, but I am happy knowing I am doing what is right.

How I live my faith

I have always lived in a place where members of the church are few and far between, so the opportunities to share my beliefs with others are many. I love sharing with others the wonders of the gospel that have helped me to be happy in this crazy world. I also served a full time mission, starting in the California Roseville Mission and then finishing in the Brazil Santos Mission.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Karynne
First they will probably talk about the restoration of the gospel through the prophet Joseph Smith and about Jesus Christ. The reason the missionaries start with the restoration is because it is very unique to our religion and it is how the church of Christ, the church He established while on the earth, was restored. The most important thing is to help you to become better acquainted with Jesus Christ, so feel free to ask all of your questions! Show more Show less
