Hi I'm Natalie

I'm an online math professor, a soccer player, a cookbook collector, an Oreo junkie, a wife, a mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to a devoted and loving husband and the mother to 2 rambunctious children. My husband is going to school fulltime and working fulltime, so I feel like a single mom most days. :) I love to coupon and find new ways to save money so my husband and I can continue to build out savings account while I stay at home with our kiddos. I have a degree in Math Education and currently teach math online for a University. It is the perfect job for me! I can do it while my kids are sleeping and put my degree to good use. I love to cook and find new recipes to try. I have a collection of cookbooks that fills an entire kitchen cabinet. My favorite dessert is my grandma's cherry cheesecake and my favorite meal is homemade fried chicken. Yummy! I love to read good novels and once I get started I can't seem to put them down until I'm finished. Since becoming a mom I have really had to refrain from reading novels very often so my kids don't get ignored! :) I love playing sports and soccer is my favorite. I have played since I was 5 and I love playing Keeper. I have torn the ACL, MCL, and meniscus in both of my knees now, so playing soccer has to take a back burner while I heal. Trying to carry a baby and use crutches was a challenge I don't want to repeat. For the most part I just do my best to make each day great for my little family and I love my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and was taught by my parents about the Gospel. I attended church every Sunday and grew up knowing the things the church taught. It wasn't until I was a teenager that I truly discovered for myself that the things I had been taught from my youth were true. I read the scriptures and I studied the Book of Mormon for myself. I prayed to Heavenly Father to tell me if the things I read were true and if the teachings I had learned my entire life were true. I was given that confirmation and I have never looked back since. Now that I have moved away from home and have a family of my own, I live the Gospel and teach it to my children. Every day I know more and more that this is His church, these are His teachings, and the things I learn at church and through the scriptures are true. I love every part of this Gospel and I am so grateful that I have been blessed with a testimony of my Savior and of His restored gospel. I know that temples are the houses of God upon the Earth and that through the ordinances performed there we can be a family forever.

How I live my faith

I teach the youth in my community, particularly the young women. I am the secretary for our Young Women organization and keep the records for the activities we do with our girls. I love being a part of their lives and helping shape them into the women they will become!
