Hi I'm Leah

With Jesus Christ guiding my path, I am off to the Philippines to share the light of the gospel.

About Me

I play piano, cello, and ukulele. I am a college student. I love politics. I like to bake and I speak three languages. I am dedicating 18 months of my life to the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I follow Jesus Christ, things in my life just go better. There is a peace that comes when I am obedient and follow the perfect example of Christ.

How I live my faith

I keep it simple. By reading my scriptures, praying daily, and serving others, I feel the love of Christ. I am excited to share what I know with others across the world.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Mormons proselyte because they have the desire to share their beliefs with others. Christ commanded us to "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations," but Mormons instinctively share their beliefs of Christ and the Book of Mormon simply because they want others to feel the joy they experience from the Gospel. Most people have seen or met Mormon missionaries before. They are men or women who go out in pairs to share the message of the Gospel. They dedicate eighteen to twenty-four months of their lives to find people that want to learn more about Jesus Christ. They go door to door and use references they are given by church members to find people in need of the gospel message. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

The Church is true! So many people from every corner of the world are finding peace in the message of Christ and His gospel. There are so many reasons to lose hope today; universal morals are now being questioned everywhere. People who find the Church like it. These people are in need and the gospel makes sense. Where did you come from? What is your purpose? Where are you going after this life? These questions are answered through the Book of Mormon and Bible. The Church offers friends, service, and support, all centered around the truth of Jesus Christ. The Church is growing exponentially because people know the Church is true and they see how their lives change when the come unto Christ. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

God wants our love, not our money. True discipleship is not concerned with money. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, each member donates their time and talents to the church. This means that by working together, the members grow and learn together. The leader of a congregation, a bishop or branch president, is called of God and donates his time to serve the Lord in leading the members. He receives no financial compensation for his leadership. Each member of the church is a normal citizen in their community. They have families and hold jobs. As each member makes a small sacrifice as the serve in an area of the church, the congregation blesses each other and themselves. Show more Show less
