Hi I'm Zachary Jacobsen

I'm A Missionary! I Love Serving People! I Love Carpentry! I'm A Military Brat! I Love Life! And I... Am A Mormon!!

About Me

I am the youngest of 9 in my family Mom, Dad 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Sense I'm in a Military Family I have lived all over these Great United States! Driving across the country many times with my family has brought my family very close. Thanks to my loving parents I have learned to work hard and how to be a good example to everyone I meet. My parents have given me everything I could ever ask for, a loving home, and knowledge of how to deal with the world and how to over come the challenges that Satan throws on me to bring me down. My favorite things to do is be with those I love and building something out of wood! I love woodcarving and building cabinets! I am currently working on my Associates Degree in Cabinetry and I am loving every second of it. It may sound like I have a perfect life, but really I don't. I just try my hardest to see the positive in everything I do. I have hard times just like everyone out in the world, I feel alone and discouraged all the time, but I know how to over come these depressing feelings that Satan gives me and you can to if you keep reading and maybe I can help you look at the positives of life and count your MANY blessings that God has so willingly given you.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I Know this is the only church on the face of the earth with the fullness of Gods Gospel. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is THE Church, Christ restored when he was on the earth. It is the same church that God called Joseph Smith to restore. I know that we as Sons and Daughters of God can become closer to Christ by Reading The Bible, The Book of Mormon, Praying, and by Going to Church. I am a Mormon because I know their is more than just Heaven and Hell their is a place where we can live with our families Forever in God Presents. After Jesus Christ death the Bible was taken and Small and simple Truths were taken out that is why it is so HARD to understand. People did this because the devil didn't want the fullness of the gospel to lead others to God instead he made people confused so they would not know where to go and what they needed to do to reach their Father in Heaven. This is why the Book of Mormon is important it give us a second witness of Jesus Christ and of His teachings so we know what path to take to return to God. The Book of Mormon Proves the Bible to be the word of God and the Bible proves the Bible to be the word of God they work in unity. Matthew 18:20 "where two or three are gathered together in my name there am I in the midst of them."

How I live my faith

I have been called of God to serve a Mission in Louisville, Kentucky to help His children understand, He wants to be apart of their lives. I love it out here! There is Great people and a lot of opportunity to serve them. Before I came out to Kentucky I hated going out of my comfort zone and talking to people and sharing what I believe. I hated doing a lot of things because of fear. Fear I would not like it, fear I would have to leave someone I loved, fear I would not be picked, fear I was not good enough. Having all of this fear and more is not good for anyone. Having any fear is not good for anyone. in short I was afraid of the unknown. I hated the fact that I had so much fear. I felt so alone and discouraged and I could not stand it, I felt I needed to change. So I put it in my mind to over come all of my fears. I started small and worked my way up. My first fear I over came was roller coasters. I was the person that would sit and wait because I was so terrified of going on, but not anymore! After I over came one I had this strange desire to see what else I missed out on because of fear and I started feeling a sense of self worth and I started chasing my dreams. I still have many fears in my life, but I can't wait for the day I have none. The realization that God does not give us the spirit of fear the Devil does changed me. I learned faith and fear can not be in the same place and if I didn't have faith who was I trusting? I had no trust in God. So I changed that.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Zachary Jacobsen
God gave us our families. He gave us families to learn in this life what is right and what is wrong and which one we need to pick to return to God. We all have challenges that seem like we can't over come alone. Well guess what, you don't have too! With our families and the Lord on our side we can over come all things. In this life we are here to grow and help build our Heavenly Fathers Kingdom. The only way we can do that is working with our family not against them. The home is suppose to be a little peace of heaven on Earth, (Suppose to be! However if your like me and my family it doesn't happen all the time). The home NEEDS to be a place where we can hide from the monsters of the world. The home is meant to have people that will up lift each other, lift up each other, and most importantly it needs to be full of joy, so when times get hard we don't get down on our selves. My family is not always like this, we get in fights with one another once in a while. However, after the fight everyone is sorry about what had happened and then we feel everyone's love again in the home, we feel the love of God in the home better. As a family we need to lean on each other because when times get hard we all need help from those we can trust. Being Children of a God who loves us so much, He has set up a plan for us to return to Him as a family. So we can live with our families forever! I guess we need to get along with them if we want to be with them Forever. Show more Show less
