Hi I'm Kellie

I'm a daughter. I'm the eldest sister. I'm a Theatre graduate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a working college graduate trying to find my way in the world, and now I'm a soon-to-be missionary. I graduated with a BA in Theatre with an emphasis in performance. The human condition fascinates me, and I love being able to relate stories about other people, true or fiction. This is what interests me about being a missionary. When I return home I plan to further my education or make people my profession full-time!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that the true church that Jesus Christ established on the earth during his ministry has been restored. Although I was born into this church and baptized as a child, there came a point in my young adult life when I had to find out for myself if this church was really true. I read The Book of Mormon, and I prayed to know the truth. I could not deny the feeling I had while reading it, that this was right. I have now fully committed to the promises I made when I was baptized. One of these promises is to take Christ's name upon my heart and never be ashamed of it. This is why I stand as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I teach lessons about basic principles of Christ's gospel on Sundays. I also visit and check up on two wonderful women in the congregation with one of my good friends to make sure they're well and taken care of. I try my best to set a good example as the eldest child and make sure my younger siblings know that they matter to me and that they matter to God and Jesus Christ. Recently, I have been called to serve as a full-time missionary. As a missionary I will be inviting others to come unto Christ by helping them to receive this restored gospel.
