Hi I'm Melissa Jensen

I was born in the North West Territories. I was raised on a farm in central Alberta. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Melissa, and I love life! I have an amazing family, who i can go to for anything. I ride horses, and play basketball. I love to be outside all year long, especially when it is raining or snowing. I am currently taking Nuclear Medicine, and I am graduating this year!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have been able to feel a small glimpse of the love our Savior has for each and everyone one of his children. This feeling is something that can change lives for the better. While I am on this Earth, I am not capable of understanding this feeling to the extent that it exists at, but I know what I have felt is undeniable. I am a Mormon because this love is real, and it made me want to know more about the Gosple Of Jesus Christ. Although I was raised in the church, there came a time when i needed to know if this Gosple was real, and if it was true. I was able to read the Book of Mormon, pray, attend church regularily, and surround myself with people who would support me. I graduated high school with 140 students, but there was only one other member in my class. This gave me the chance to really seek it out on my own, and just for me. The feelings I got from reading, praying and telling others about the church will never leave me. There is no denying it. I will never be able to deny that Christ lives. That He died and shed blood for each and everyone of us. He gave His life so we could learn of Him and His teachings, in hope that we can all live with Him again. I am a Mormon because this is what I live my life for. To live righteously in order to be in His presence again, and for eternity. I know this goal will one day come true as I live and follow His teachings, and live by His example.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the women in the young adults ward (church) I attend every week. I get to know the strengths these women have, and I cant help but love them. I am able to notice this faith in my life while I diligently do my visiting teaching. Meaning there are two women in particular that I am able to serve, teach and grow with on a regular bases.
