Hi I'm Alan Moak

I live in and love it here in Bolivar Missouri, I have a beautiful family (2 kids and a wife), and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My parents are converts to the church and they have raised all 16 of us kids in the gospel. I got married in 2007 after returning home from my mission in Anaheim California. We now have 2 children who we love! I am currently a student at a community college where I will be soon transferring to get my bachelors in teaching high school history and coaching basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was born into the church, there always comes a point in time where you have to decide for yourself. I was determined at age 17 to really figure out if serving a mission was what I really wanted or needed to do. The only way to really find out, is to do my own research, to pray and to ask God and nobody else if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints is truly the only church that has the fullness of the gospel. Though my answer wasn't a sudden epiphany, I slowly gained my testimony through my own studies and much prayer, but, I know it's true!

How I live my faith

Where I live, there is always an opportunity to share the gospel in one way or another. Inviting non-members inside the church to play basketball and sharing the gospel with them just a little bit at a time and letting them see the pictures of Christ on the wall has been a great way to share the gospel. My wife and I are constantly searching for people we can serve as we have been served in so many ways.
