Hi I'm Sydney

I'm a lifelong student. I love to read. I love the outdoors, especially the Utah mountains. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying wildlife conservation. I love learning about our beautiful world and it's many creatures. I love the outdoors! From backpacking and hunting to running half-marathons and playing basketball. I'm preparing to serve a full-time mission in Chile.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy. It's that simple. It's a gospel of learning, of progression, of joy and of love. Everyday is a new opportunity to learn new things, to follow His plan, and to grow into who our Father in Heaven wants us to be. I grew up in a family with rich Mormon heritage. I love learning about my ancestors and the sacrifices they made for the things they knew to be true. I hope to continue this heritage of courage and service through living what I know to be true. There are so many amazing truths that I have come to know and love about this gospel, things like: families can be together forever, each of us is a child of a loving Heavenly Father, and our mistakes can be forgiven through the Atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because the truths of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have taught me who I can become through the help of my Savior, and they help me find the joy in the journey.

How I live my faith

Currently I have been called to be a missionary for the Church, serving in the Chile Rancagua Mission. Missionaries give from 18 months to 2 years in service to the Lord and preach the gospel in the area where they are called. I am so excited to preach the gospel of good news to the people of Chile. I'm excited for the opportunity to serve them, to learn from them and to love them.
