Hi I'm Ryan

I'm preparing to serve a two-year mission in Germany. I sing and dance, play soccer and study. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying economics in Utah. I enjoy performing, and have performed for 13 years with a service-oriented singing and dancing group. I have shared my talents both locally and nationally, in cities such as New York, Chicago, Branson, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, and Los Angeles. I even performed across Ecuador! I am an avid reader, and consider reading to be the most powerful influence on a developing mind. I am hoping to someday become a doctor and use my talents to help others.

Why I am a Mormon

It doesn't matter what walk of life you come from; the Gospel of Jesus Christ is right for you. When you read the Book of Mormon and pray about it, you can feel for yourself the truthfulness of the Church. I've seen friends of mine struggle for so long, trying to find meaning in life through meaningless endeavours. My extended family too has searched for peace and direction on earth, somehow missing the truth that is so close! I know that this gospel is true: there is nothing else on earth that can rest a weary heart, lift a sad soul, and give so much peace to those whom search for it. If you are looking for something in life but just don't know what, then turn to God. This church is meant for you.

How I live my faith

I am an Eagle Scout. For my Eagle Scout project, I directed dozens of youth in assembling and delivering 500 “vials of life” kits for use by first responders in emergency situations when victims often can’t speak for themselves. Many of these kits were utilized by the Salt Lake County Aging Services. I have played the piano at a local hospital with their Music Therapy Program. I have also performed for senior citizens in an assisted living facility in my neighborhood. I have helped with many food drives for the Utah Food Bank, and blanket and coat drives for the homeless. I’ve sandbagged during community floods, built and delivered sheep feeders for one of Utah’s State Parks, and have assisted many other boys in their quests to achieve their Eagle Scout awards. I've been a Gospel Doctrine teacher in my ward, preparing and delivering lessons and helping others to develop a stronger testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
